OK could not resist that after the postings today on the weather, haha. But keep looking up folks....just because they ran the last (scheduled) Shuttle mission, we can still watch the Space Station, Planets, AND...AND this week is one of our meteor showers, the Perseids!

I did see one meteor shoot across the eastern sky early Wednesday morning. I looked this morning, but didn't see any. The sky was clear too. I did get a good look at Mars. It sparkles with hues of red - very pretty!

Cool. Yeah I NEED to get out on outings more often, or to the country where I can see more. City lights certainly wash out some of the sights. Oh well.

Yep, grab a lawn chair, some good music and just lay back and watch the show.

What direction and when is the best time to see the meteors?

Oops, sorry but I don't check back on some postings very often. This was one of our annual shows, and it was from a NE kinda direction. Not to worry, more "showers" this Fall.
Keep looking up.

Time to crash for awhile, so I can be ready for the light show before dawn.
