Wow, been away from news for awhile. Wonder where Gadhafi is, as that is very important. Anyway, likely any of our resources in the region will still be needed there for a time, and most likely will increase.

This may be the least expensive war in US history and no deployment of ground soldiers were used.
This may also be the most effective the NATO alliance has be since its creation.
Of course this morning Fox and Friends said this is just the beginning of the bloodshed, now the terrorist leading this fight will try and take over the country's money and oil...LOL Never any good new from those folks.
I think Obama did a good job using an alliance to assist the rebels in removing a Dictator and now France and Italy, the two closest business partners to Libya can be there to assist Libya form its new government and get the oil back online.

The best part of the Libyan uprising is the fact the US has not branded it as our war and our effort to topple another Arab leader. This was a pure homegrown effort that we assisted from afar. Brilliant move, one less country hating us, hopefully. At least Libyans will not be delivering two headed babies due to our use of depleted uranium to topple Gaddafi.

Too bad Obama didn't have the stones to properly pay for the war. Where are the whiny libs on this one?

Nothing wimpy, just not showing our arrogance and swagger when it's not needed. Our drones seem to be doing quite well for intelligence retrieval. NATO has turned everyday x-ray techs, IT professionals, store clerks into soldiers in impressive time. Looks like a success to me and not one of our troops died in the process.

More than the back and forth we can all enjoy in here, I'm worried about this being an age old war tactic.....being that rebel forces, allies (whether troops or advisors) and Media are now in "downtown".....maybe right where that goofy dictator drew them in.
There are sobering possibilities here!

Exactly my point. 2 to 1 we're involved in Syria in the next 12 months.

I think we will be in Syria, and I'm OK with being involved in these troubled places even though some will never want to get involved anywhere. But if my fear is realized in Tripoli, then we should be more cautious in Syria.

Yeah a good point, but they are often more concerned about politics than business.

I think a war in Syria would be a war between the US and some allies against the Syrian government supported by Iran. Maybe we should not go there, I'll keep my fingers crossed that this time we stay out.
