I, for one, am overjoyed that we secured those oil wells in Libya before they suffered any more inhumane treatment from Gaddafi.
The Syrian Rebels need to start drilling now, it's their only hope.

Oil revenue from Libya will create needed jobs and income for Americans to support their families - seismic crews, IT and software providers, drilling contractors, production facility and pipeline construction, operation, and maintenance, etc.

Please do not confuse my observation that we live in a global economy with an implied endorsement of the use of US and UN military forces to overthrow governments at will.
No one has ever explained the selection process to me in a way that makes sense of when we choose to intervene and when we choose to sit it out. But that's not this topic.

No one has explained the process to anyone, that is why there is so much controversy. It is definitely not humanitarian or we would have been in many other regional conflicts. It is definitely not for US security since our State Department stated that Libya did not pose a threat to US interests. It could be about oil and the world economy. That seems consistent.
