If you are getting a new roof, pay attention to the details. I was up in the attic this week and noticed that where our dryer vent goes through the roof had lint all around it. After checking it out, I discovered that the vent hole in the plywood had been covered up with felt and shingles. We got a new roof in 2003 after a hailstorm and they never cut the hole in the shingles for the vent and install the vent cap.
We also had to replace the heating element in the dryer once. Went to Lowes and got materials and in a couple hours, I had it fixed. This could have been really bad. The roofer did many houses here in Allen after that hail storm, so you may need to check out the vents on your roof. It was (blank) National Contractors Inc.
