May I suggest you pen a little note to your state representatives indicating your lack of enthusism to dig deeper in your pocket to fund their lack of commitment to education.

Note the new legislative maps are being challenged in court. Until they are final, I suggest contacting your current and potentially future legislatures.
Sen. Shapiro is retiring, but will still be working until 2012. Ken Paxton is running for Senate District 8, Sen. Shapiro's current position.

I think contacting future candidates is OK, but they are just going to blow smoke up your skirt during the campaign process.
Now, if one of the candidates actually DID something that might change my mind.
Slick Rick could actually do his job and call a special session of the legislature to address the situation, but I guess Captain Coyote Killer has bigger things on his mind then the education of his State's children.
