If 6 times a number is 42, which expression could be used to find the number.
a 6x42
b 42 + 6
c 42 divided by 7
d 42-6
Edited to change b from 42/6 to 42+6

B. Putting the words into equations, let's use "n" as the number.
6 * n = 42
=> n = 42 / 6

Why don't you home school? Obviously you would serve your children better than public school.

I typed it wrong the response looks like 42+6 not divided by. I can see that the answer would be 42/6 if that was a possible answer.
Thanks

You sure don't seem very nice. Are you sure you belong in Allen talking like that.

That would be equivalent to "42 divided by 6" which would be answer B. What's the problem?

I am very nice and fit very nicely into this community. I'm just tired of people who constantly find fault with EVERYTHING. The teachers are incompetent, the admin. is incompetent, the police are incompetent and so on.

The problem is you don't read before you enter the conversation. 42+6 has no bearing on the answer. IF you would read the ENTIRE thread before jumping in you might see that I restated that what was printed was 62+6 and NOT 42/6. Again there is no correct answer.

So, it is unacceptable for someone at AISD to have made an error yet you clearly and admittedly made errors yourself in this brief thread. Isn't there just a bit of irony in this situation?

Yes, I made a mistake and corrected it but it is the pattern of poor proofreading and fact checking by folks that are being paid to educate that is even more ironic.

Brewer, if YOU would read time stamps, you would notice that sco commented before you corrected your typing mistake (which I saw last night when I was reading this thread). At the time, it looked like you were having a problem with basic math.

Where did the 62 come from - another typing error on your part?
I find it very ironic that you're ragging on the teachers, etc. when you aren't taking the time to proofread your own posts.
Regardless, I hope you're taking this opportunity to teach your child that teachers WILL make mistakes that can be handled respectfully instead of teaching your child that teachers and administration are incompetent. Your words and actions have a huge influence on how your child acts towards their teachers. Otherwise, you're going to have alot more to deal with at the school than some poorly worded science questions, typos on math problems or fundraisers you don't like.

Thanks, but I don't need you to remind me to do anything. I just made a simple comment on someone's post. I believe I have the freedom to make a comment if I choose. Take it or leave it, it is up to you. I have been a frequent visitor to this forum and can't believe the way some people constantly whine about everything.
