Results from the City of Allen website:
Hollingsworth 775 40%
Brooks 1133 60%
Being a numbers guy, total votes cast in the runoff was 1908, which is 4.08% of the 46,800 registered voters in Allen.
By contrast, in a 2008 runoff, total votes cast was 1101, which was 2.4% of 42,394 registered voters at that time.
Voter registration has grown 10.5%/4406, but voter turnout for the runoff increased by 70% over 3 years ago. Congratulations to Luke and Baine for getting folks to come out and vote again in the runoff.
