Six British soldiers of the 3rd Bn, The Yorkshire Regiment ("The Dukes") were killed today in combat in Afghanistan.
This regiment use to be The Duke of Wellington's Regiment prior to the recent MoD reorganization. for my own reasons, I have a soft spot for "The Dukes."
While we endlessly debate internal politics here, we should remember that men are still fighitng and dying in Afghanistan.

Men and women. Yes it's a sobering reminder of the dangers in all those areas. I have family there again, but don't know where she is.
