The city did some water line repairs that included an excavation in my front yard by the street. Afterwards a problem was evident in my sprinkler system and I feared I'd have to battle the city over responsibility for the problem. I was pleased how it all worked out. City employees did a lot of work to determine the cause of the problem and in the end it was most likely accidental damage from the excavation. I thought they handled it well and they were very pleasant to work with.

Hmm, I've passed two neighbors of mine who have had some sort of ground work done by the curbside, at or near their water meter. Last week, Allen Water came knocking on my door saying our water would be off for about an hour. Nothing unbearable, and I was appreciative of the courtesy they showed in letting me know.
Seeing both neighbors having issues made me wonder what was going on underneath and if it would eventually be a neighborhood-wide situation...

Probably changing out meters, general maintenance, upgrades, etc. City services are always top notch in my book

sometime City water service providers mixed a bit extra chlorine in water due to that taste of water is changed.
