At least the hairdressers don't have a lot of laundry to do.  I got laundry on the brain right now since I'm on my third load of laundry today.

I don't like places like that, but did go once because of a free coupon thingy. The haircut was fine, but not a place I would go without another coupon. But I'm glad to see new businesses.

This place is just trying to distinguish itself from the 10's if not 100's of other haircut businesses out there in the metroplex. Nothing wrong with that, in fact it makes smart business sense.
I went there this past weekend and had a good haircut and an overall good experience. I will definately be back.
Not only do they offer haircuts (which run around $25) but they also have a tanning bed which I think can be used for an additional $5, and offer other spa services as well (manicures, pedicures, massages, ect.)
As far as the concern about staying classy as the originator of this thread meantioned, their attire was normal and not an issue at all (people working at Hooters or Twin Peaks wear far less).
They took their time with me and the haircut. Definately not a place where they are trying to accomplish as many 5 minute haircuts as possible like some other places.

I went to Knockouts earlier this year when it first opened. I honestly wasnt sure what I was walking into. I was very impressed with my stylist. Her name was Abbeye, she was a manager. The girl was not only a "knockout", but knew hair. Her background was incredible for age, being that she was also a hair instructor. I have no idea what she was doing at knockouts with her skill level, but great for me! The salon provided free beer for their clients, a massage therapist and so on. The clothing wasn't bad. It was a t-shirt and shorts. However, I will say, some of the girls working definitely needed to be in pants. The salon staff was very friendly. However, there were pictures of a "woman" all over the walls. Now, I am not at all a shallow person, and do not judge anyone but the woman on the walls when I asked who she was, is the owner. In every picture I have seen of her she is dressed very provocatively (meaning barely nothing), overly tan (as if she lived in a tabbing bed perhaps), and wore incredibly too much make-up. (I am certain she is still maybe not a woman). I did not get the privilege to see nor meet this woman but when I asked if she was serious in those pictures and really dressed like that the whole staff responded to yes. :-O. She is truly something you all should look up. I returned for my next haircut from Abbeye after receiving non stop compliments and after I was so impressed the first time on the quality of the service and outcome and she no longer worked there. I was shocked that such an upbeat, skilled manager whom appeared to be the one in charge and holding the salon together was gone. But not only did she leave but the massage therapist and another stylist left as well at the same time. Makes me wonder what happened. I did stay for a haircut that time only not to be impressed at all and told myself I would never return. I since then have gone to Boardroom for men, paid way more and was still not as impressed as my $25 dollar haircut I once received. So here I am, does anyone know where Abbeye went? I know she spells her name Abbeye because she made the comment, "it's like Abb-eye."
