We are under a TORNADO WARNING. These storms will affect the Allen area over the next couple of hours, right now there is NO confirmed tornado on the ground headed towards Allen but there are cells that have been producing tornadoes. More cells are firing and have gone severe warned to our south.
TAKE THIS VERY SERIOUSLY, THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR OUR AREA. Make sure everyone in your family knows where to go for their safe room.
Go to the interior most room in the house that is surrounded by four interior walls, do NOT go into a room with an outside facing wall. Preferably go into a bathroom and make sure you are wearing shoes, bring blankets, pillows or other items to cover yourself with if a tornado heads our way.
This system should be clear of us by 5-6PM time frame.

Heavy rains, wind and hail are the main threats with these follow on cells right now. These storms are starting to wind down from their tornado potential for the Allen area but there is still a tornado threat in Dallas. Do not ignore these storms though, there may still be hail damage, or wind.
Once these storms clear us we will be clear for the rest of the evening.

Me too, I'm away from Allen right now but I always keep an eye on it as weather rolls in.
There is a dangerous storm headed towards Forney right now, if you know anyone in that area be sure they are paying attention to the weather!

There may be a tornado warning issues for SOUTHEAST Collin County, this does not affect the Allen area. This is due to the Forney storm that has produced a brief tornado, this will not pose a danger to Allen so it can be ignored.
