First time to try Big Ray's today for lunch and was very impressed. My wife had the chopped brisket sandwich with the cucumber salad and the fried potatoes with onions. i had a hot link sandwich with potato salad and fried okra. The brisket was very tender and the hot link had a li'l heat and was not greasy at all. All sides were very tasty and we split a bread pudding that was extremely good. Service was fast, friendly and makes you want to come back, which i will real soon. Next time i want to try the ribs and some peach cobbler.

They have fantastic ribs! I think we've had just about every meat on their menu and never been disappointed. Their sides are delicious also. Definately one of Allen's best meals for the money and local (Plano) family owned and they actually act like they appreciate your business.

I bought a rack of ribs from them last night and they were awesome. Best bbq in the area by far and the nicest people you will ever find.

Whenever we drive by there never seems to be more than 1 or 2 cars in the parking lot. Maybe they do a fantastic business at lunch? Just doesn't seem that busy to me so it makes me wonder about the freshness of the food. I've only read good reviews but the place always looks dead. Any insight?

Probably two reasons. One is the location. Unless you're looking for it, it's easy to drive right by on McDermott and never see it. The other is they don't have a big advertising budget to tell everyone where they are. I've also ordered large quantities for a family gathering and everyone loved their ribs and brisket. It would be a shame if they had to close due to lack of business.
So PLEASE, tell your friends and neighbors and spread the word.

They have smoked chicken, but not boneless. My husband and I eat there occasionally and the food is ALWAYS delicious!
