American farmers (we the people) have lynched the government, at least for now...

"The farming industry exuded praise on Thursday after the Department of Labor (DOL) axed a regulation proposed last September that would have imposed stringent rules on young people’s ability to help run their own family farms."

The intended purpose of the new rule was to curtail the migrant child workers who sacrifice their education so the entire family can collectively earn just over minimum wage. It'll be fine tuned to exempt farmers family members.
I get my news from the Comedy Central and my comedy from Fox News.

Maybe the federal government could show some courage and resolve the immigration issue once and for all and stop create BS legislation.

I've never seen such a bunch of spineless cowards than those in office right now. Both sides of the aisle.

*gasp* You're a Paulbot, you're a Paulbot!!! (sense the sarcasm)

Whether you are or are not, I firmly agree with your last two statements...

The Republican party drives me crazy on this. Somehow we will have to have some sort of amnesty for those here. We don't have the manpower nor the capability to do so. A little pragmatism is all I'm asking.

I agree. Common sense would be real nice, if both sides of the aisle would abide. Another problem with "ship 'um all home" is that we now have an entire economy built around the cheaper labor. I don't see how we can fill all of those minimum wage jobs with willing U.S. citizens. We'll be paying $10 for a Big Mac, and I can only imagine the soaring costs of construction!

Simple solution would be to require citizenship to receive federal and state aid. Although this causes a problem with education and emergency care. It's not a simple solution, but I wish that both parties would truly work on it, instead of throwing barbs at each other.
