Approx. 10:30AM. The dog was reported to have been running loose moving east along the park trail at Story Elementary adjacent to Pebblestone Ct, off the curb and into traffic on Malone.
I arrived just moments after this dog was struck.
It looked to me like a "blonde" lab/pit mix or something like that. Medium sized and healthy looking. Had a simple collar but no tag. I did not have time to take a pic before the dog was taken to the animal hospital at Legacy & Custer in Plano.
The dog's injuries did not appear life threatening. Looked to me like the front right leg was broken and it had slight lacerations on face and a couple of other places.

Hey
My husband was one of the folks that stopped to help,I was in the car. Anyway the dog is doing good and was micro chipped. As of yesterday afternoon they were still trying to contact owners. Yes the one leg was broken but will heal.So glad he is going to be okay and that there were so many great people who chipped in to help out!
