Sure, many people dream of the next rainfall but there is another shower to watch this weekend. The Perseids will be shooting across our sky these next couple of nights. It's one of the better examples though getting away from city lights is recommended.
If you're already watching the Moon, Jupiter and Venus each night (very cool) then you should locate them when you go out to watch the meteors. It should be neat. Keep looking up. http://science.nasa.gov/
