If you child goes to Chandler, treat the child for lice. It's going around and we just found it on our daughter.

Ugh...we're not at Chandler but have had to deal with it before. No fun. If you haven't already, treat everyone with some tea tree oil in their shampoo. It will help those who don't have it keep from getting it, and helps keep it away in the one who does have it. Last time we had it here that was the only treatment we used alone with the nit comb.
Good luck!

My daughter is in third. I asked because I know that the grades seldom mix except for briefly at lunch. We checked last night and she looked clear. We have a lice spray, that actually smells really nice, that we spray in her hair on occassion because you never know. Good luck.

Lice does not usually infest a whole school and other than being icky, is relatively harmless to humans compared to strep throat or other much more damaging illnesses.
This time of year there is probably not a elementary school around that does not have some lice hosts.
I would be more judicious before pressing the panic button.
