I came across this article about the LBJ new tollway under construction in the Dallas News Sunday paper. The toll charges will change every 5 min. depending on the amount of traffic, if I read that correctly. Steve Blow has numbers upward to $20.00+ as anticipated fees. Is he exaggerating? I don't use toll roads but I can't imagine having to pay that amount if I choose to use the LBJ tollway. There is a contest to name the new tollway and if you go to namethelane.com it explains how the system works.
My husband has found ways around all the construction to get to work and I imagine he will continue to use those other roads once this gets open. Anyone willing to pay that amount?

Not all lanes will be tolled, but of course, those who pay get to go faster during rush hour.

It will be somewhat similar to what Alameda and I-85 in Atlanta have, it called Dynamic Pricing. Most states are moving toward that module.
