We are currently under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until midnight tonight, a watch means conditions are favorable for severe storms to form. So keep your eye on your favorite weather forecast and make sure your weather radios are on an in alert mode. Updates will be posted as necessary.
There is also the chance we may see a Tornado Watch as well sometime this evening. A rain wrapped tornado is on the ground in Montague, so the atmosphere is primed enough for some super cellular storms. If we see any weather it will probably be after 9pm or so.

We are now under a tornado watch until 1AM and just about every storm to our west is severe warned. This could be an active few hours as these storms move into the metroplex. Stay tuned for further updates as well as keeping a close eye on your favorite weather forecast.

If you're not aware of things right now, there are multiple tornadoes on the ground, well out to our west but these storms are very strong and some are even intensifying. So these MAY stay together as they reach us, if they do we could experience large hail, damaging winds and possibly tornadoes.
Keep a very close eye on this situation everyone, the atmosphere is unstable so things may continue to stay active for some hours.

The good news for us is that the storm in Denton county has weakened, although still strong but there are other cells behind it that could come through our area in the next couple of hours.
Sadly, it looks as if there has been a significant tornado in Hood county with mass casualties, the scanner is blowing up with calls down there. That cell is continuing to move to the southeast, if you know anyone in the Grandview/Corsicana area, contact them IMMEDIATELY and tell them to prepare their safe area. This cell appears to be ramping back up again, it keeps spinning up and down but is the one that produced the large tornado in Hood county.

An update on that Cleburne area storm, if you know anyone down there contact them IMMEDIATELY and tell them to SEEK COVER NOW! There is a spotter observed, one-mile wide wedge tornado on the ground.

So far, looks like things have quieted down thankfully for our area. We'll just see rain and thunder at this point.

Maybe the quietness would be a sign of thunders coming up next.
