Students, families, teachers, staff -
"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin--real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life." ~ Alfred D. Souza
Congratulations AHS Class of 2013!!!!!
Real life has already begun. I won't wish you good luck - instead I will say a prayer for you that you have learned to make your own luck.

The weather was perfect for the graduation last night. It was a wonderful celebration! Congratulations and many blessings to all the graduates and thanks to all who helped to get them where they are so they can be prepared for the future! It's time to spread your wings and look forward to what life has in store for you!

Does anyone who attended have any comments or suggestions on how the first graduation in the stadium went? And Congratulations to the new graduates. Wishes of happiness and a succesful future.

We were there and thought it went very well. Fortunately the weather was beautiful. Preferred it so much more than our previous two graduations at UNT. Parking was easy. Leaving was fine too. Plenty of seats and with the big screen it was easy to see the speakers and graduates. I was able to hear everything clearly as well. Also enjoyed the band and choir performing for the ceremony. The only negative was not being able to bring water from home into the stadium but there was water available for purchase so just a small negative for us.

My firstborn graduated last evening. What a great experience! Well-run, well organized, and memorable. Got there 45 minutes before the gates opened, got front row seats and stayed until it was finished. Now for the other four over the next 6 years.
Allen ISD knows how to go all out.

I thought overall it went very well. It was certainly better than driving to Denton. There are a few things they need to tweak for future graduations (like camera angle for the big screen - it kept changing and I didn't get a decent of shot of my graduate). The weather certainly helped contribute to the overall experience. It would be nice if AISD could order an exact duplicate of last night's weather for future graduations!

Thank you all for the comments, great info and they make me proud of Allen and AISD too. I'll pray for a carbon copy on the weather for next year. Congrats again to Class of 2013.
