I have read all the Stephen King books, as well as Richard Bachman, and watched pretty much all the movies.
I liked it but it is going to get way better and more interesting as it progresses, just like the book.

I watched it. I haven't read the book, but I enjoyed the pilot. It was interesting seeing "hank" from Breaking Bad in a sinister role. I definitely plan to keep watching.

When did you see the pilot? I show it doesn't come on until Sunday? :(

I finally had the chance to watch it last night from my DVR. I liked it. The cow scene at the beginning was pretty creative and the scene of the truck hitting the dome was really well done. The concept of a town on its own kinda reminds me of Jerricho if anyone ever watched that. That was a great show. Hopefully it will stick around. I hate when I like a show and it seems I'm the only one so it gets cancelled. Terra Nova anyone?

Under the Dome is a mini-series based on the Stephen King book. I dont remember off the top of my head, but I think there is only 6 or so episodes in the series.

Good examples ... I loved Jericho and liked TN. Hated to see them both go.
I haven't seen Dome yet, but I gotta ask ... if cows, people, trucks, etc. can't get though, what about weather? Pollution? Is there an explanation?

The Under the Dome series on CBS is not a mini-series. There may have been one made previously but this is not one. According to IMDB there are already 13 episodes shot.
As for the polution and stuff getting through... in this past episode the military was spraying the dome with water... since that is the logical thing to do... and a kid on the inside put his had where the stream was hitting and he had water on his hand.
I never read the book but the series seems decent so far.
