Before anyone replies to me... I am a huge Cowboys fan. However... things the way they have been lately... at least the band kids will get to be there for a game they could potentially win. :)
When I was in college, in the marching band, we marched at the last game in the Astrodome. It was between the Houston Oilers and the Steelers and oddly... the Oilers won. It was fun. Hopefully they will enjoy it as much as I did.

The kids had fun but not as much as I thought they would. They had to be at the band field by 5am Sunday morning. It then took them about an hour to get through security. Once inside, they waited a while before finally getting to the field for practice. After they practiced, they then waiting some more before finally walking to the Pepsi deck where they had to either sit on the floor or stand for HOURS (some kids were laying down trying to catch some z's). They waited in the Pepsi deck from around 10am until 1:30ish for their 5 minute half time performance.
They weren't even introduced when they took the field for halftime. They got out on the field, waited a few and with all the commercial still rolling, then just started their routine.
Once they were done, they had to grab their things then walk another good distance to get to the buses. They finally rolled back in around 4pm.
For something that took almost 12 hours, my son and his friends didn't think it was worth it. I would tend to agree.

Both of my kids said it was not worth the effort and would not do it again.

You must not have heard it, but they were introduced. I was in the 400 seats and could clearly hear it. Wish it could have been longer, but there it is.
My son is a Cowboys fan so he'll remember that day for the rest of his life. Just glad that we insisted it would be on our terms. Hard to believe they wanted us to pay.
The kids will be there again, all the way into late December for the playoffs...
