Since this thread doesn't seem to get much traffic, I will post in the "recomendation" thread as well. This might sound silly but, I need to know brand, type(s), cooking methods of oatmeal that doeas't end up gummy/starchy. I am on Weight watchers and have added oatmeal to breakfast a few times a week but not really liking it too much. I loved my mother's. Not too thick. I actually like mine a little thin. I am currently using quaker 1 min. brand. Soaking in skim milk for a while then, microwave but I have heard regular oats are not sticky. Any oatmeal lovers out there?

See my reply under the recommendation thread - I saw that one first since it was at the top of the screen.

We fix it at work often, and depending on who does it we get the Three Bears versions. In other words it is often different. But its a good eat whether clumpy or runny I say.

I love Oatmeal. I hate the instant and the Quaker 1 min one though. I prefer the Quaker one that needs to cook for 5 min. Thick/Thin is one of those hard things to really say but how I make it isn't like paste.
