We are looking for a full time weekday nanny to take care of our darling infant daughter in our home in Allen, TX. Her mother will always be close as she works from the house in a dedicated office. However, this makes the need for another pair of hands and eyes a requirement, but those must come with a big heart as well as our first child obviously means the world to us.
The anticipated start date for this job is Monday, October 21. There will be only one infant female child to care for currently who will be around 12 weeks old at that time. The hours of service needed are from 8 am to 4 pm daily which includes approximately 30 minutes for lunch at a time in the middle of the day dependent on the mother’s work schedule. CPR/first aid certification and the ability for us to perform a full background check are obviously big pluses as we consider the candidates, but we are not limiting our search to only those that fulfill all our criteria. Also, though it is not a requirement, we would prefer hiring someone with limited availability to babysit some weekend nights, even if infrequent as we do not anticipate the request more than once or twice a month.
Our expectation of duties for our new “family member”, in addition to cleaning up after herself and our daughter’s activities/toys, include: bottle preparation and feeding if mom can not be disturbed (this should be the exception rather than the rule), interactive play time and reading sessions, constant monitoring during naps, and changing diapers and clothing. Obviously, as time passes, our daughter’s needs will change, but in the meantime we anticipate somewhat frequent “down time” during napping allowing you some freedom to accomplish any personal business as long as the video monitor is kept handy.
We are comfortable with paying the perfect candidate between $350-$400 per week (based on 37.5 hours) depending on experience and fit. This also includes several paid holidays and family days off. It should also be noted that we are looking to pay our nanny legally which includes tax withholding but also comes with many positives such as unemployment insurance and social security/medicare benefits. Assuming this is your only job, you will be able to recoup a large portion of pay when filing taxes at the end of the year. All of these details can be outlined and explained more as the selection process progresses.
We are planning to conduct one round of phone interviews before meeting with any potential candidates in our home. Thank you for taking the time to read this posting and we look forward to speaking with you more assuming you are interested and ready to join our family.
