We really don't watch much "fictional" television programming at my place - but we were given CD's of Breaking Bad and were instantly hooked right through to the end. Awesome television series.
Now that it's over, we're looking for something else to chew on.
We're considering "The Sopranos".
Any recommendations on what to get in to next?

Sopranos would be the first I'd recommend. Seasons 1-3 for sure, after that, meh.....
Walking Dead would be next after that

Depends on tolorance for graphic sex and violence.
- The 4 seasons of Spartacus were great but some of the most graphic sex and violence I've seen on TV. It was on Starz until it finished it's run in the spring. Good show though.
- Game of Thrones is one of my current favorites but only rates a single rung on the ladder lower than Spartacus as far as graphic sex and violence. Season 4 starts in the Spring.
- The Sopranos would easily be one of the top on the list. Great show but terrible ending to the series.
- Homeland on Showtime is great and has less of both. Season 3 just started on TV.
- Dexter just finished on Showtime and was one of the best shows on TV if you pick up the DVDs to watch.
- The Walking Dead is on AMC so there is violence but little or no sex. Great show and easily my favorite. Season 4 just started a couple weeks ago.
- 24... if you have never seen 24 it is a great show but only on DVD since it wrapped up about 3 years ago.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, but definitely watch The Wire next. That is an excellent show. Some of the other shows mentioned are also very good and some of my favorites, but I think The Wire is up there at Breaking Bad levels of quality. The Wire wrapped up several years ago, so you can only catch it on DVD (or HBO GO) at this point.
