Anyone have a local recommendation for movie poster framing? We have two posters with cast autographs, so we're looking for a fairly upscale and professional mounting, complete with "Now Showing" plaques, matting etc. I'm willing to spend up to $250 each.

This is going to take a bit of effort on your part. The important part to this or any job are the materials. Most framing shops get their frames cut on a custom basis from a supplier rather than doing their own cutting. Then they do the matting and other customization. The finest framing materials go through a company owned by Larry Ahern called Tracy Chop in Tracy California. I suggest you call Larry and ask him who he supplies in this area. He has no ax to grind other than he supplies the best of raw materials to framing shops all over the world.

Check with the antique malls and local hobby shops. Also colleges may have good connections since students like to frame their suitable for framin' papers.

I didn't actually meet any of them. I got the posters the "new fashioned way" - purchased from a dealer that specializes in such things.
Our favorite of the two is The Shawshank Redemption, signed by Robbins and Freeman. The other is American Pie, signed by most of the main stars.
