I'll probably get flogged for mentioning this by my fellow fly fishers(we like to keep these things to ourselves), but only 2.5 hours away is a beautiful river with miles of trout stocked year round. If you're looking for a great weekend with the better half, head up to Broken Bow OK, book a morning with a guide, and have a blast.

So does anyone have any news or updates? Any luck catching the Rainbow trout? Is it the horseshoe pond with the pier or the larger one with the fountain that was stocked? The link above only listed a pond letter at Bethany Lakes.

It's the smaller, deeper pond (from the parking lot, it's the one on the right) There is the dock you can fish from too.
Usually people have them pretty well fished out, but throw a super duper in there, you might still get lucky. There is a trout fishing derby at Towne Lake in McKinney coming up Feb 23.
