My son told me about a rumor he heard on the bus this afternoon. It involves a student recently off ISS threatening violence at the school via Twitter.
I contacted some other parents and all had heard basically the same thing from their Lowery students. A couple had called and left messages with administration but had not received a reply.
I’m not a Twitter-er (Tweeter?) and don’t know how to look for the source of these threats.
I know the district has security plans in place but have to admit I’m disturbed about whatever might be attempted.
Does anyone have an inside track?

Hopefully somebody has/will contact the police department and let them do the investigating and find out what's true.
I would encourage you to make the call and tell them what you've know. Please don't just post about it looking for the inside track and be the one later saying I should have called the police about that.

The police are already involved and were at the school yesterday from what I understand. The concern from my neighbors has been that there has been no information coming from the school administrators.

The police are at the school this morning but they know who the kid is and he's been placed back in ISS.

I'm hearing from inside sources (my kid who's there) that Ereckson is not on lockdown, but they are keeping the classroom doors locked. It's supposed to be related to the "gang threat" at Lowery.
