Cold food? We have been about 8 times and have never had cold food. Why not ask for another plate if it was cold? the owners are very nice and would have done whatever was needed to make it up to you guys. We love the place and will continue to support it like we do all places in Allen. I have had a couple of bad experiences at LaFinca, but love the owners and keep going to it as well.
I will not ask for something that should have been done right in the first place. That business will, and in this case has, lost my business.
Hopefully, the owners, are reading these reviews and attempting to resolve the issues OR they will go away like the other places that have shutdown.

I don't think one should have to ask that their food be fresh and hot. There are way too many other restaurants to choose from now in our area. The greeters losing track of us didn't help matters either.

We went on Friday night and waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Our waiter was very attentive and patient with us while we looked over the menu. Both or our dishes came out hot and were very good. My wife did get the Charro Beans and those were just okay. We will be back.

Finally tried this place last night...fajitas were good and the enchiladas were too. Good service and I thought the prices were on the low side. We will add to our tex-mex rotation but LaFinca is still #1...

Awful. Don't waste your $$$. Taco Bell is better.

You couldn't pay me to eat at Taco Bell.We eaten at Del Rio a few times and really like it. I really like their quesadillas (a mix of beef fajita and veggie). Usually I am not a quesadilla fan. My very picky son likes their tacos.

i think the majority agree, along with me, that del rio is an above average tex mex place with good drinks and a place to go grab some happy hour and take kids
with that said we have a TON of competition in the area and it will be in the rotation but not at or near the top

We ate at laFinca a couple days ago, it was not as good as it use to be. Chips were tuff, cheese enchiladas were not good, but I like the owners so we will still go there sometimes. Then we ate at On the Border yesterday,,OMG!! it was awful, chips were so salty you had to close your eyes hoping salt didnt fly off into your eyes when you take a bite, the beans tasted like the smell of a bandaid. So until I get a bad meal from Del Rios, its still on the top of my list in Allen, my wife cant stand Uncle Julios and its WAY overpriced

uncle julios food is good but the prices are so out of control
for the portions you get at del rio its a great value. my wife and i can split a combo with the chips and salsa and free nacho bar and get out of there for $30 with each of us having a drink
my personal favs are
blue goose
luna de noche(has gone downhill)
la hacienda
pasados
chuys
Glorias
El Norte(Plano)

Are you talking about la hacienda, or Lahacienda Ranch? we love laHacienda Ranch, that use to be our favorite lunch spot when the wife and I first met.

Café Del Rios is good but we won't even think about it during the dinner rush. We love Glorias but when we need a good TexMex fix and we don't want to wait, we hit Mexigo. The food is always good and the service is outstanding. Alex is one of the best waiters in town!

I tried Rio Bravo for the first time a few weeks ago, and it was pretty good. I'll definitely go back. Also love Chito's and Chuy's. I've still only been to Cafe del Rios once, but I thought the food was fine. I still consider it part of my rotation and will get back there eventually.
