I think you are right on point with your comments.
"Minority" friends that have spoken to me about this
same problem have voice similar opinions. It is
interesting to me that families that have worked so hard
to move up in the SE chain, and moved to Allen to get out of the influences they found in the out neighborhoods, have kids that exhibit the behaviors of the old SE cultures.
I love our community and know that we don't have to deal with most of the things that other communities see every day.
