Moonlight Threads is a small but growing fast-paced apparel decoration company in Lucas, TX. We offer embroidery, appliqué, heat-applied graphics, rhinestones, screen printing and chenille letter jacket patches. We produce everything (except screen printing) in-house at our Lucas workshop facility. We service all industries with our products and services, but our passion is school spirit wear and staff wear. We collaborate with our customers to create unique custom spirit wear or logo-wear that is fashion-forward and trendy.
We have an immediate opening for an Outside Sales Rep to help expand our reach into additional schools and other customer markets. This role requires someone who is poised and professional with great communication skills, and a strong desire for sales and customer service. We are looking for someone self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm. The right person is a fast learner, competent to work with minimal supervision, and a stickler for being on time. We like to have fun while we work, so a positive attitude and sense of humor are absolute must-haves!
Requirements:
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (CorelDraw or Quickbooks skills a definite plus!)
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work at times under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Able to lift and move 50 pounds
- Able to stand for 2-3 hours continuously
Responsibilities:
- Generate new revenue through closing sales by acquiring new business customers and growing existing customer business
- Brainstorm and implement new marketing ideas for email blasts, web content, sales flyers, etc. to increase Moonlight Threads’ brand recognition and reach
- Set up product displays and conduct on-site sales
- Enter all new sales orders using the order management system
- Track sales activity and prospects
- Collaborate with design and production staff
- Work with production staff to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner and delivered on-time to customer
- Assist in production tasks during busy season
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
Other Information:
- This position is 30-40 hours per week -- during peak times overtime may be required. Specific hours are somewhat flexible based on season and customer availability but generally 9:00 – 4:00 daily.
- Compensation will be a combination of hourly rate plus commission and will be based on experience. No other benefits provided.
