I received graduation information this weekend. Apparently the school is working with Balfour to have the graduation announcements (So graciously hawked during school)reprinted to reflect the new venue.
Just another cost.

It's amazing we hired this firm to build our stadium. And for someone to suggest these guys do it for little profit is laughable. They make mint!!!
This was the first stadium he ever built from the ground up.
Allen Eagle Stadium: Closed until further notice.
Monthly payments still due and loss of revenue planned in the budget will come from somewhere else.
Thanks School Board for hiring this firm to construct our stadium.

Do we know where the football games are going to be played this Fall? Sorry if this information was already given, but I didn't read all pages on this subject. What about season ticket holders?

And what does this have to do with the stadium issues? This is another topic altogether.

The link is four years old. Paul is no longer associated with Pogue Construction. Paul immediately left Pogue Construction when this occurred. The insurance underwriters wouldn't be underwriting the firm if he remained on staff. It's just another futile attempt to place blame the board for anything he can.

Now that the election is up.... Oh, let's tell people what's going on next year.

What about the coming years when we're tied up in litigation? Sorry, we'll wait for that 'ugliness' to come out eventually.

I think it would be prudent for the news to come out afterwards rather than drop it into the election mix right before an election.
I do not see the stadium issue as a board issue.
This is a long term issue that will transgress multiple board elections.

Deemed unsafe, I'm shocked. The fact that it is architecturally flawed means we are all extremely lucky nothing happened that hurt anyone up to this point. It now seems clear to me that the administrators that chose not to alert the public when the flaws first raised their concern have some questions to answer. Risk vs reward I guess.

Looks like a mix of bad design and a poor implementation of the bad design wrapped in politics.
Safety wasn't a factor until it became politically expedient to be one.

Ah, the golden calf is but meager swine.
Hmmm, Plano is charging us $5500 per home game to use their stadiums.
We pay $2.5 Million per year on interest alone to cover the debt interest.

I cannot wait to see how long the lines are going to be at the athletic center with no reserved seating or season tickets.

From the same DMN article:
The district is also keeping a tab of lost revenue and expenses related to the stadium problems, Hindt said.
Overall a good informative article. Looks like PBK started the issue with their design and Pogue added to it.
Both companies told the district the escrow wasn’t an admission of liability. They said experts estimated $1 million or less would cover the repairs.
Really? The escrow part of the story is pretty interesting though.
Officials said they will wait until the report is complete to make decisions about repairs. Fixing the stadium could take six to eight months, Hindt said.

I don't know that I would assume there was some sort of cover-up. Most buildings with exposed concrete have some cracking. I noticed some fairly large cracks that had been filled in the concourse at Toyota Stadium in Frisco. At some point, things progressed from noticing some small cracks, to thinking the cracks were unsightly, to wondering if the cracks were "normal," to thinking the cracks might be a real problem. The administrators may have acted reasonably all along that process. I'm not willing to infer some intent to hide a safety issue, but would certainly respect anyone who wants to take a "trust but verify" approach.
