I am totally done with AT&T and want to change providers. I'm pretty stuck on the iphone and have heard that ATT, Sprint, Vorizon, T-mobile all support the iphone.
I've also heard that some providers allow more or less with the iphone services (ex. one of them allows surfing the net while talking, etc).
Anyone know what the other providers offer/don't offer?
Thanks,
Chris

To be honest, I begrudgingly went back to AT&T this weekend due to their new lower prices for a family plan. I had been on T-Mobile for the last year and had not a single issue with them. Actually, I've had a dropped call already since going back to AT&T. T-Mobile has done a really nice job building up the network around here and in my travels I've had great service as well. If I could convince the wife to leave AT&T, I'd have the whole family on the 5 unlimited everything plan for $125.
BTW, just unlock your current AT&T phone and it will work perfectly on T-Mobile.

We've been with AT&T for years now. Family plan with 4 smartphones. Was paying around $250/mo on the shared 6.5GB plan but with the new pricing, they switched us to the shared 10GB plan. The phone bill dropped to around $180/mo. That's a HUGE savings and more shared data with unlimited everything.
Personally, we've never had a problem with AT&T. Customer service has always been great and very little call drops. Drops do happen with cell phones and after getting rid of the iPhones, calls don't drop near as much.
FYI...if you're wanting a new iPhone, go to BestBuy. You can trade in your old phone giving you a big credit AND they'll give you a $50 credit on top of that. Pretty good deal. Good luck.

I've considered going to Straight Talk, they have a $45/phone plan. I believe they use the Verizon network.

Straight Talk uses multiple networks, depending on the phone you get. Check this page out before you buy a phone or sign up.

Also for Verizon prepaid, which includes Straight Talk, data is 3G only. Verizon only has LTE data with contract ($$$). I used to have a phone with Virgin Mobile, which is Sprint's network, but then their coverage had gone terribly bad everywhere I went the last year or so. So last month I switched to Aio, which is AT&T's new prepaid brand. Data is LTE if your phone supports it. Plan prices start at $35 (with auto-pay) and are tax and fees included. AT&T seems to work a lot better in Allen, at least the places I go to.
