Should knock-out roses be trimmed back this spring and other rose variety also?? Maybe should have already been done...

The time to prune roses is usually stated as Valentines Day. But, the last freeze we had took care of the new growth that came after so I will probably prune again this weekend to control where the most recent growth is.
