Just ate there for lunch... today is there Grand Opening, in the place where Chitos was (beside Valero)
We got their buy 3, get one free taco deal - double layer corn tortillas and got one chicken fajita, one beef fajita, and two pastor (pork). SUPER fresh, tender and flavorful. We also got a beef fajita torta with mayo, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, and avocado. Again, super fresh and the flavor combo was yummy.
Verde sauce has a spicy kick, and the red sauce is more orange than red, making me think it's even spicier than it looks.
They threw in a slice of tres leches cake, as today is their first day open. They were all super nice, very careful to make everything perfect. For the four tacos and torta, it came to just over $9... we'll definitely be back, for the price and for the freshness!

I went there on Saturday also but had a slightly different experience than kgw71. I will go back but I'm going to give them some time to work out the kinks.
The best part of our visit was the food it was fresh and most of it was very good. I got 2 beef fajita and 2 pork Pastor tacos. The tacos with corn tortillas are double wrapped with a generous amount of meat with chopped onion and cilantro. The beef fajita meat was really good and was my favorite. The pork pastor was fresh but a little bland for my liking. They also give you lemon for your tacos and I prefer lime. The wife got the chicken flautas which were under cooked and didn't have much flavor. The refried beans were authentic and very good but the rice was lacking in both texture and taste.
Now for the bad. I know it was opening day but I'm pretty sure no one working there have ever worked in a restaurant before. I don't want to talk bad about anyone they were very nice but it was painful getting our order and even more painful getting it right. The girl at the cash register didn't know how to use it and they were writing the orders on little sticky notes that they give you to give to the kitchen. I can promise you I will be checking my credit card statement to look at the charges. In the end I paid some on my credit card and some in cash because the girl could not work the register. The girls working the kitchen again were very nice but didn't get anything right. We got only half of our order the first time around luckily the wife checked. While we waited for the rest of our order they started on the next persons order. I felt sorry for him because he had a big order to go and were getting nothing right. The girl grabbed our ticket and made it again for the other customer then after he got that straightened out they started on his ticket and lets just say he was getting very frustrated. After another 10 minutes they completed our order and we left.
For me the beef fajita tacos were good enough to come back again and give them another try but that will be in a couple of weeks. My fingers are crossed because the place has potential just get those nice ladies some training it was that bad.

I little off topic, but related to hollowel's comment. I have read about a lime shortage causing prices to skyrocket so I think some restaurants have moved to lemons. I recently noticed some other taco places I visit in the metroplex have started replacing limes with lemons.

We regularly visited Chito's while they were in this spot and now drive to Plano when we have a craving but we had to try Mr. Takito. Have to agree with Hallowel, the gal at the cash registere does not seem very experienced however she was very nice and that says a lot these days. I had the 3 taco plate. I ordered 1 chicken, 1 al pastor and 1 chorizo. My favorite was the chicken. It was very tasty. Second in line was the chorizo. Well, maybe the chorizo was my favorite because it was sooo good. Least fave was the al pastor. Won't order that one again. I got limes but my hubby did not. The rice and beans were blasé. Next time we will order tacos to go. In my opinion, there are some kinks they need to work out but the chorizo and chicken were delicious! Also, love the tortillas. Taste very fresh.

Visited them for lunch last week. Had tacos only...chicken, beef fajita and 2 pastor. All were good and I loved their corn tortillas. I've had better street type tacos but for a small joint at a gas station, not bad and I will definitely swing by again.

Tried this place last night for dinner with my spouse. We both had the taco plate with various types of tacos. We were pleasantly surprised. As another poster said, they are not the best street tacos I've had but they were better than most.

We had eaten at Chitos many times and finally tried Mr. Takito. Food was very bland. Tacos were OK but the burritos and taquitos were almost tasteless! Won't be back. Only two fountain drinks. So unless you wanted those two fountain drinks everything else was cans or bottles so no refills either. Not even iced tea offered.
