My daughter's friend had seen a crime scene truck and crime scene tape in the wooded area behind the Starcreek area, next to the Allen Cinemark. Does anyone know what happened?

Saw that too. Looks like they were looking down into the creek. I wonder if a car went down there.

I'm not sure what happened, I drove by a little after 6pm. There was a body on a stretcher, it was completely covered in a blanket. I haven't seen anything in the news about this yet.

not sure if it would be this or not:
Fatal crash:

On Sunday May 11, 2014 at approximately 3:30 PM, Officers of the Allen Police Department were dispatched to the area of North Watters Road and Ridg...eview Drive regarding the location of a missing person. The reporting party stated his friend had been last seen at 2:00 AM and he was concerned. The reporting party began to search for his friend along the roadway. At approximately 3:24 PM a wrecked motorcycle and the body of the missing person were located in the creek bed just south and east of North Watters at Ridgeview. The initial observation looked as if the motorcycle left the roadway at a high rate of speed and struck a tree. If any person(s) witnessed this accident please contact the Allen Police Department Traffic Division at 214-509-4288. If you wish to remain anonymous text keyword ALLENPD and your information to 847411. Deceased person: Micah Evan Harbour W/M 12/05/1988 of McKinney, Texas.

What is the deal with that road? That's the 3rd death on that block in the past 7 years. Two speed related, the other a distracted driver.

Thanks for finding that info, LTM. I was curious.

I went down that road a few weeks back hoping that Ridgeview would cross the creek and connect to the Ridgeview that crosses 75. It doesn't. I think there are temporary barriers, but it dead-ends at the creek, like a planned bridge has not yet been constructed. I doubt that the area is well lit at night, since it is woods at one end, and if I remember correctly, empty fields to the North. Sad case.

The wreck occurred near Watters, not near the end of Ridgeview. But yeah ... it wouldn't be wise to speed down Ridgeview expecting a through street.
