That was a strange video. It seems to me whoever took it was trespassing.

Na, really!
Anyone who has provided close-up or internal pictures was pretty much trespassing. Which includes me. But that is irrelevant now that it is being demolished

I was just surprised someone would be brazen enough to post video of commiting an unlawful activity. I'm sure there is worse video out there, but I've only seen this one that you have posted.

I'm pretty sure Big Brother is more concerned about things other than trespassing in a, now demolished, abandoned mall.

What bugs me is when people go do something they're not supposed to be doing, in a place they're not supposed to be, then get hurt and sue the owners for leaving an "attractive nuisance" around. There were some obvious hazards there.

Prime environment for tetanus.
Of the many times I have driven along Shelby Rd., through the parking lot and the two times I entered the building, I have never seen any "No Trespassing" signs or anything indicating that. All I have seen are fences blocking the rear exits to each store but not the main entrance door or even the parking lot entrances.

When a structure stands abandoned for twenty-four years, that tends to generate curiosity in some people as to why and whats inside. People with a sense of adventure

Tetanus lives in dirt and I can almost smell the place from the video. Bet it was fun going through there.

Actually, the smell, before the demolition was unique to me. Not rancid or decay, but something I had never smelled before. Simply unique.
It was fun in a sense of a haunted house type of ride. Letting your imagination go unchecked can make things a bit too scary. I simply remained alert. Peripheral vision to maximum and ears on high alert.
when I went last Sunday to take pictures of the remaining half of the building, there were four guys playing paintball

OK, I understand, when I was a teen, we went to this old courthouse. At that time, it was abandoned and we had to climb a fence to get to it. We went inside (it was sussopsed to be haunted), pretty cool and a little scary from what I can remember. The guy I was with actually took one of the old Victrola record players from there and it still worked. This was around 1974. Everybody always talked about it being haunted, and we were the only ones that actually went in there while it was unoccupied as far as I know. It was known as Sherwood. http://www.texascourthouses.info/irion-county-cour...

When I was a kid, I ventured into the abandoned water utilities buildings at White Rock Lake (built 1911). Talk about scary! I used to have pictures, but I cant find them. I remember the side of the building used to have the phrase "Adley's 57 made it" in big letters along with some other popular phases that won't make it past the forum filters. One of the giant water tanks had a sunset painted on the wall with the words "Here Comes the Sun". Must have been a lot of stoners hanging out there at night ;-)
One of the buildings is still there and has since been converted to city of Dallas office space.
As a kid, I didn't think anything was really wrong with going into places like that.
