In case you are clueless and did not know, Allen High school is playing for the 5A State football championship this coming Saturday.
There is plenty of room on the bandwagon so jump on board and "Back the Blue!"

Thanks for the help Web. I didn't know this news. But it's not clueless if you do not keep up with sports intentionally.
But I heard it here at work, as sports minded folks discussed it. So I'm happy for sportsy people to look forward to it.

Your daughter teaches voice lessons one of those Allen Eagles so there you have it... you've now got a connection! Ask her about her singing lineman who will be competing for state in both football and choir!
For our football team - it's a tremendous accomplishment to reach this point. My only complaint is I haven't had time to finish up Christmas preparations since every weekend is filled!

Thanks for keeping us updated......those of us with no kiddos in the schools and not sports fans are a bit out of the loop.......so proud of the Eagles and all their hard work!! Will the game be on the radio/or TV for those of us who cant travel down to Houston?

The game will be broadcast on FSSW (Channel 36 on cable) and is set to begin at 7:00 PM Saturday. Having watched past games (as a heartbroken Eagle fan who was wishing our team was there), I can tell you that they do a great job with the broadcast. You'll really enjoy it.

I enjoyed the play by play reports here on allenonline as we don't have kids in the school system any more. It was exciting just to read about it as it occurred.
