Does anyone have suggestions on where to go for windshield repair? I've got a small rock chip in my windshield that I need to get fixed. Thanks!

You might try one of the auto body places we have listed here on Allen Online, however if they don't do windshields here are a couple soarces I've used in the past:

If not already done and you have comprehensive coverage on your insurance, some insurance companies will do a repair (not a replacement) if possible at no cost to you. Some chips can't be repaired but some can.
If you have comprehensive and your deductible is low, you can put in a claim too. It should not affect your rates.

Be careful about repairing a chip/crack on a leased vehicle. I know from personal experience that the dealer may not accept the repair and require you to replace the windshield/window. If this happens the you are unfortunately in a pickle because your insurance company will have already paid to repair the chip/crack and won't pay for the replacement. At that point you're stuck and have to either pay for the new windshield, or you "just happen" to get another rock into your windshield.

I think I'd bring a baseball bat and tell them if I have to replace my glass, they will too. LOL!

Another note on glass repair, I ran across a product in the automotive section at a Walmart its called: "fix a windshield" made by the company "fix a flat". I havent tried it yet but there was another there purchasing this product, he said it worked well for him on some chips in his windshield. Here is a link on the product and how someone repaired it himself http://fix-a-windshield.com/

Tell me when they come out with a "Fix-a-broke wallet". I could sure use one of those. I keep expecting money to grow in my wallet but it doesn't so I think it is broken.
