My favorite things here is 1) kalbi, so goood! 2) fried rice with sriracha! 3) Terriyaki filet mignon. Theres a lot of hibachi combos like filet mignon and chicken or filet and shrimp. I like to alternate between the two when I go. 4) tempura sweet potato! So good and you can order it a la carte for like 1.95! Its only four pieces but its only two dollars! As for sushi, I'll just list my top favs. Ilianna roll, texas tornado roll, tiger tail roll, and the salmon tower. (i prefer salmon over tuna). Now I agree food does come out slow sonetimes and SOME of the waiters suck, but support a family business! Maybe if moe people would help support the business, they can hire more people to help how fast the food comes out or to improve the service eh?

We have been going to Hibachi Rock since it opened in the original location at McDermott and Alma. We visit HR more than any other sushi restaurant. However, the last several times we have eaten there, the quality of the food and the service has been poor.
We went after church this past Sunday and have now decided we will not be going back. One order came out wrong and one roll did not taste good at all. Service was lacking....then I finally got my Ahi Tower (after we were done with almost everything else) and the waitress plopped it in front of me and walked off. Every place I have every been offers to mash it up for me and she didn't offer, nor did she leave me anything to mash it up with. But the worst part was the tuna was AWFUL...looked like canned dog food and didn't taste much better. I took two bites of the Tower and could not eat it. The server brings the check and does not make a comment about an entire plate of uneaten food. I then point out to her that the tuna was less than fresh and her comment was, "oh is it?" and walked off with our credit card. No apology, no offer for anything else, no manager stopping by the table, no offer to take it off the bill.
When the food is sub-par and so is the service, absolutely too many other great places to eat around Allen without patronizing Hibachi Rock again.
