Oh yeah, hubby nixed the MA schools in the immediate area. Some too expensive, and there are some he just disapproves of the specific art (he's a MA snob).
Cambellfam: Back when hubby was teaching he would get parents in complaining that so-an-so's child was already a black belt in that "other" school in town. Hubby told me he just laughed and went back to barking orders at his group of not-black-belt students who were 10X as competant as the black belts from the other school. Kids learn quickly, but how on earth could one expect to cram all the physical *and* mental aspects required in a black belt into a child that's only been taking the class for 1 year?

I agree! If you are only in it to get a blackbelt we'll tell you where to go buy one because it will mean about as much.

With the Upward at Cottonwood Creek (at the other churches that participate as well) also provides cheerleading, if she doesn't want to do a sport. Basketball has all ready started, they had their first game on Saturday, but if you check on it soon she would not miss much, it would just be learning the cheers that they all ready know. I am not sure what comes after basketball, we only did that - probably Soccer. The girls really love it -

Basketball/cheer has already started, I don't think she can still register for that. But check for upwards soccer in the spring! It looks like registration starts at the end of January, here's the link for details:
