Hey LCR
I thought the same when reading the article, but I can't say anything because Al C told me to go away in previous threads that have opinions. Just laying low and LOLing.

Just an opinion. Just restating a fact. Some of us have a justification to state opinions as you.

Facts? Here are some facts for you ... a couple of your recent posts addressed to me:
Me: Stop it ... y'all are killing me!!!
You: Really? When?
And that's the one where I said "go away."
You: but I can't say anything because Al C told me to go away in previous threads that have opinions.
I'm not going to dig any further back, my point is made. You're nothing but a troll.

Your quotes a correcto sir al c,,,ahhhahh

Tongue-in-cheek is a phrase used as a figure of speech to imply that a statement or other production is humorously intended and it should not be taken at face value.

It remains to be seen how Lucas and Allen and Parker and TxDOT are going to handle traffic at this corner. It's going to be a mess and multiple cities and TxDOT are all going to have to reach agreement on fixing it before it will get better. Ugh.

Maybe the sno-cone stands can move in on that bottleneck? Seriously, yes such a change is a big deal. I'm gonna send a note to a Lucas official about it. We'll see.

Looking at the Collin County Thoroughfare plan
http://www.co.collin.tx.us/commissioners_court/mo b... , both of those roads are Farm to Markets that are slated to be 6 lane divided major arterials when they grow up.
As I am looking at the County 2007 Bond report, it looks like 2551 was included along with the Allen part of Bethany (west of 2551) but not the Lucas side of the intersection. I could be reading it wrong.
I also don't know who all pays a share of the cost when an FM is upgraded - developer or municipality or county or state or some combination of funds. City of Allen transportation department or a call to the County might clear that up - funding and timing.
For that matter, Walmart HQ probably has a good idea of when those improvements are scheduled. But I know they put the store in at Custer and 380 long before the intersection was built and the road widened (still in progress) and it has been a mess.
Like General Bullmoose sang it -
Progress is the root of all evil
Progress is the cause of it all,
Our livin' standard's now so good
I had to change my neighborhood

It appears to be on the agenda for tomorrow's city council meeting in Parker if you are interested in attending.

PRESENTATION, CONSIDERATION AND/OR ANY APPROPRIATE ACTION ON
WAL-MART SITE IN THE CITY OF LUCAS.
The above PDF also includes the packet of information that the cities of Allen and Lucas have been working on.

To the general thread, was there as much opposition to the Walmart at Exchange/75 as there seems to be for the Lucas location?
I'm not too big a fan of Walmart myself simply from experience shopping at Spring Creek/75. However, Allen seems to take pride in its own store given the friendliness of the employees/many shoppers and store cleanliness, something the SC/75 location can't say the same for.
I don't let the few personal issues stop me from saving a dollar or two here locally...
