I am very interested in the two insurance companies that negated the escrow idea. I think that their names should be out in the public as well since their lawyers are the ones that will jeopardize the 2015 Fall season at the stadium.

If lawyers were worried about public shame and scorn, they'd have never went to law school to begin with.

They don't even know the full extent of the problem yet, but they know how much it will cost to fix.

That's some nice spin from the companies.

I'm not sure I would believe a quote from Pogue saying insurance will cover the cost. I'm sure the insurance adjusters are looking very closely and whether this is a natural occurrence or the results of incompetence. Even if insurance does pay for reconstruction, that's only a part of the overall cost to the district and taxpayers. The people who will never get compensated are the local business owners that stand to lose a lot of revenue from the games being played significantly outside the local market.

Uhmm, the costs to repair are going to be WAY higher than $1MM.

Unless of concourse Pogue is planning on some spackle, paint and few packs of beer fix for the stadium.

The engineering costs and lost revenues to this point exceed $1MM.

The companies are all in on the band-aide solution it seems.

Watch them crawfish when it the real rebuild costs come in, not the spackle and duct tape job they are talking now with that absurd figure.

I bet 1 mil won't even cover the cost to tear out the concourse, much less "repair" it.

This is all lawyers talking now.

"We were willing to cover the cost of repair, but........"--Just wait for it.

They both have already crawfished from their pledge to put up a million each, and they'll backtrack from this too.

PR, smoke and spin. That's the stage we are in now.

I honestly think there is no chance we will see us play at the stadium in the 2015 season, not being negative just being realistic based on what I have seen this week. Dr Hindt surmised it would take 6-8 months to fix the problem, may be optimistic but we will go with it, but I can see it taking longer than that to beat out the solution and who pays for what. If it were just the fault of one of the involved parties it would be easy but since the blame is spread around you will see litigation to spread the fault and thus the cost to repair. And to the future of insurance paying for it, this may be what we will end up seeing unfortunately.

We will be completely transparent....sometime later on....after we talk to our attorneys. -The synopsis of the closed door meeting.

We now have more lawyers involved in this than a John Grisham novel.

Per dallasnews.com, Superintendent Mr Hindt has called a press conference for 3pm today to discuss the findings related to the stadium cracks.

Should be interesting to say the least!

Follow up...according to Dallasnews.com....

Engineering failures are primarily responsible for the structural problems at Allen ISD’s $60 million stadium, according to Nelson Forensics’ investigation.

The problems extend beyond cracking in the concrete at the concourse level and also include shortcomings with retaining walls, concourse framing, press box support columns, press box structure, single-story structures, main scoreboard and durability of the structure.

Work crews will begin repairs in July with the goal to complete them by the 2015 graduation.

No mention of who will be responsible for the cost of repairs.

Dr. Hindt made it clear at the press conference that those costs would be the responsibility of Pogue and PBK.

Oh, I guess thats perfectly ok as long as the costs are being taken care of by Pogue and PBK....Still don't know why we selected a company who never built a stadium before, to build our stadium...

Pogue was very smug when he said that the tax payers would not be out one penny from this.

Is he going to personally write every Allen parent a check for their gas money to and from the AAC? How about everyone's gas to Plano for football games?

Is he going to write a check for all the events that went elsewhere because the place wasn't available? We won't even know how much revenue we lost due to events that chose to not consider Allen.

The superintendent gets the dunce of the day award though. He was quoted as saying the district was not at fault for this and that they did everything correct in the process, it shouldn't be "a black eye". Well, maybe you shouldn't hire inexperienced construction companies for a building you knew was going to make national news. Maybe you should get out of bed finally with Pogue, he's left your bed quite a mess.

Edit: not to mention all the local businesses and restaurants that will lose money every weekend of a "home" football game. I'm guessing Pogue isn't opening the checkbook for them either.
