Private Messages (PM) now called Private Topic.
The new version of what we called Private Messages or PM’s in now called Private Topic. It is a private message system with many enhanced features.
If you want to start a private topic, go to My Controls/Start Private Topic. Put the usernames of the members you want to invite to the topic in the section marked Invitees. You may invite up to ten members. After entering the Invitee information, the process is the same as making a New Topic.
To see messages sent to you to, go to My Controls/View Private Topics.

So, it looks like we lost the old private message history.

Oh wow...I haven't logged on in a couple of weeks or so, am totally bummed that we lost all of our private PMs without any warning. I would have liked to write some of the info down from previous PMs. Why wasn't there ample notice given? I definitely love the new look and it seems like there will be some great new features...but communication is the key to helping people adjust to change!

Yeah, that's only one of my hurdles. I was guilty of using that kinda like my email in box, and held on to older ones with contact information or whatever. We've all got more serious challenges everyday, so I'll get over it...soon...maybe
I do appreciate the big challenge to manage such a website, and I ain't upset with the "web" about it, haha.

I'm guilty too. I had pared my PMS down to just the info I wanted to keep and did not copy them over because it was easier to know that they were on this forum.
Lesson learned, although it must be a hard lesson to learn because it has happened to me before.
Thanks for all you do Webmaster. I know it is not easy. My forum lost several weeks of topics once. Posters were not happy.
Peace.

I like how a message pops up when you log on if you have a private topic. It would sometimes be days before I would notice the blinking envelope on the old forum.
