Short story here with a lesson buried within (in keeping with Civic's post). Years ago with an ex wife, we had a dog. While we were married he went everywhere with us except the grocery store and movies. Often went to work with me too. We weren't in a hot place so he stayed in the car if we couldn't bring him in (windows partially open). I could open the door in the morning and he'd run to the unfenced back yard, do his business and then come back to the door. He prefered to be with us than out anywhere else because he was part of the family. After our divorce, the ex didn't treat him the same way. He was ignored a lot and never went anywhere with her (I was not able to keep him in a big city with no yard and studio apartment). He died hit by a truck before I had a way to take him. He was out looking for the attention he was no longer getting.

EmBee, There has been a flier with a lost small dog with a red collar. I could not write directly to your post, so am posting it here in case any one else sees the dog:
" 'Popo' Mom misses very much 16 years old-
soft, curly white hair, wearing a red collar.
male, un-neutered. Very sweet and friendly.
Last seen near Fairlawn and Autumn Oaks."
I have been looking for this dog in my walks,
and hope it is the one you have near you. I did
call the woman today (just saw the post) and
hopefully she will call you. Her # 214 914 5795.

Thank you...
That was from orangecat, we've talked and sadly it's not that lady's dog.

Popo's popular. I have a friend who was approached by Popo's mom. Evidently, she has hired a pet psychic and a pet detective at the tune of $3000 to find her "baby". About a month ago My husband got an email from someone at work -- in Dallas -- looking for this dog. Really, a pet psychic and pet detective? $3,000? I just found myself a new business!
