Candidate BAINE BROOKS - heavily endorsed by local Allen Businesses!

Given your posts above, you probably have done more harm that good to Mr. Brooks, who seems like a very qualified candidate.

It's actually KPM Ventures. Look it up under 711 Central in Collin CAD and it shows the owner as KPM Ventures. Look up KPM Ventures and the name Katlin pops up, as in Katlin Property Management. Still curious about Baines actual involvement as an owner as he contends. A large part of his campaign strategy is as a business owner in Allen looking out for Allen busineses's interest. Still curious about the actual affiliation just to set the record staight.

I will add my support for Barbara McNutt. I have worked with her through the Allen Arts Alliance and the Allen Escadrille. She is a dedicated servant of her community.

She's listed first on the ballot which helps! I bet there will be a runoff election.

IMO, she and Brooks will be tough to beat.

WHAT BUSINESS MEN ? I have heard that before but no names ever listed. Reply with a list. Gerneral statements like that drive people crazy. I don't care about someones business of their own. Walk into their place of business and I would expect them to be nice. I am giving them business after all. I like Bane. I do business there but come on. He lives in Love Joy area and makes general statements like ALL BUSINESS MEN. Reply with a list. I would like to see who those are. Yea, that is what I thought... No list.

We are not interested in "sustainable growth"; no vote for Baril.

You do realize that you're misrepresenting Tommy, don't you? Go back an listen to his message again ... he's talking about growth in Allen ... not your narrow-minded view of the phrase "sustainable growth" which you still haven't provided your definition of yet.

Hmmm ... still no response on this? Back up your statements with some facts, please.

What nm is alluding to by opposition to "sustainable growth" is Agenda 21. Google it to read an entertaining conspiracy theory that some folks are bringing into area local elections.

Can't say that I have heard of Agenda 21. Thanks for pointing this out. Is this what the Tea Party people are rallying around now?

And how is what Tommy said related to this "Agenda 12" thing, nm? BTW ... I was talking to him recently and he had never even heard of Agenda 21 until he looked it up.

Once again, his reference to sustainable growth has to do with economic growth in Allen ... nothing more. It's highly irresponsible to continue the falsehood of Tommy supporting Agenda 21 nonsense.

You are right! He leases part of the property and is owner of the business. Thanks for being thorough.

Perhaps he inadvertently used a term that definitely is related to a much wider governmental and media world. As others have indicated, definitions are different from your reference--sustained growth and Agenda 21.

See recent reply; I don't read this column every day, so hope you can understand that others have had questions also, and have taken the time and effort to research the topics.

I think this is a double reply, but yes, Brooks sold the property. He leases the building and owns and operates the business, Two Rows restaurant. Hope this clarifies. Thanks.
