The Londoner actually closed because their license was revoked for selling to minors. They lied on the signage on the door- they stated that the expiration date had passed and it was mistakenly overlooked. Not true!

The Londoner closed because their license was revoked for selling to minors. However, the door sign says their liquor license expired and they hadn't realized it. What a joke!

That's a pretty serious charge without supporting evidence.
The TABC website does not state a selling-to-minors violation. However, it does state that the license was cancelled on 12/13/2013
Complaint # Status Violation Date Code Violation Description Docket # Disposition Fine Amt Paid Amt Paid Date Begin Date End Date
613551 Closed 10/10/2012 864 RM does not Qualify for FB 613551 Cancellation 12/13/2013
If there was in fact a selling-to-minors complaint, it would have stated it, AFAIK. Be prepared for a libel/defamation lawsuit.

FB and RM descriptions:

The holder must meet requirements of the Code and Rule 33.5 concerning minimum number of entrees served, hours of service, etc.
Certificate allows holder to be exempt from posting a conduct surety bond.
MIXED BEVERAGE RESTAURANT PERMIT WITH FB (RM)

Odd that someone would sign up to make that one post, of which, there is zero evidence to support.

And to do it twice. :) And oddly enough, there is not a link to the story...

Not sure, but I don't think it looks like a restaurant. There appears to be a large garage type entrance to one side. No signs around say what it is either.

I haven't driven by to look yet, but someone said there was a lot of ground breaking going on in the vacant lot between American National Bank and Herbs Paint & Body. Anyone know what is happening?

Different one, the site across from AHS hasn't been approved by council that I can find, only approved by P&Z.

I wouldn't have thought there would be demand for another hotel. Anyone know how the others are doing? Are they always full?
